About

Our Mission

Bonita Bay Club hosts the FineMark Women’s Pro Tournament to enhance the club’s position as a world class facility with the resources and member support to bring a great tennis event to Southwest Florida. The tournament works with the associated Gala to support our designated charity.

The Tournament

This will be the fifth year that the Bonita Bay Club will be hosting a $100,000 Women’s USTA Pro Circuit Tournament, one of only five of its kind in the United States. It will be a week long event starting April 28th with both the singles and doubles finals closing this championship on Sunday May 5, 2024! Great tennis will be featured with the top 250 women in the world competing.

The USTA launched its Pro Circuit in 1979 to provide players with the opportunity to gain professional ranking points. Celebrating its 41st anniversary in 2020, it has since grown to become the largest developmental tennis circuit in the world, offering nearly $3 million in prize money. Currently there are approximately 100 tournaments hosted annually throughout the country and prize money ranging from $15,000-$125,000. The USTA Pro Circuit is the pathway to the US Open and tour-level competition for aspiring tennis players. It is a frequent battleground for established professionals. John Isner, Angelique Kerber, Sam Querry, Sloane Stephens, Kei Nishikori, Victoria Azarenka, and Andy Murray are among today’s top stars who began their careers on the USTA Pro Circuit.  Former Pro Circuit American players who achieved the world’s number one ranking are Andy Roddick, Peter Sampras, Andre Agassi, Lindsay Davenport, Jim Courier, Bethanie Mattek-Sands, and Bob and Mike Bryan. Furthermore, USTA Pro Circuit alumni have won more than 50 Grand Slam tournament titles.
